Equestrian Chi Gung for Instructors
An online course for Instructors to learn Equestrian Chi Gung and to learn how to teach it to their clients.
Equestrian Chi Gung is suitable for a broad spectrum of people, it can be taught to individuals or to groups of any age and to people with differing levels of ability and disability.
It is useful to teach Equestrian Chi Gung in the following situations:
1. It helps horses and riders relax before a ride, or after a ride.
When horses and riders relax before a ride, it helps them to bond and connect. This makes the riding experience more enjoyable for both the horse and the rider. Equestrian Chi Gung can be taught at anytime during the ride. When it is practiced at the end of the ride, it's a lovely finish to the ride for the horse as well as the rider. It rests and rejuvenates both of them
2. It helps nervous riders overcome their fear.
When riders practice Equestrian Chi Gung, it makes the energy flow in their bodies, and relaxes the parts that have become frozen with fear.
3. Equestrian Chi Gung is an activity that benefits riders with disabilities.
Equestrian Chi Gung, works on physical, emotional, mental and energetic levels. As well as stretching and lengthening muscles, other benefits include include improved balance, posture, coordination, concentration and flexibility. Equestrian Chi Gung increases confidence and improves one's general Well Being
4. It can help to relieve pain in joints and muscles.
Equestrian Chi Gung brings energy all through the joints in the body, helping energy to flow in them and bringing heat and healing to parts that need it.
5. It relieves stress.
Most people's lives are affected by stress. Prolonged stress has long term damaging effects on people's health. Chi Gung has been proven to relieve stress. When combined with the therapeutic energy of the horse as in Equestrian Chi Gung, the benefits of Chi Gung are magnified. It also helps to relieve some of the common problems associated with stress, such as insomnia.
6. It allows you to provide a safe and health giving activity for your clients that are unable to, or do not want to ride conventionally, but still want to enjoy sitting on a horse.
Equestrian Chi Gung compliments riding, and it shares common principles with it, major ones being that correct posture and a relaxed bodies are essential components. When riders practice Equestrian Chi Gung, they engage their energy bodies. This makes it easier for them and their horse to connect energetically. A deeper bond is made between the horse and rider as a unified energy field is formed between them. This way the rider benefits more from the therapeutic energy of the horse and it greatly enhances the time the rider spends with the horse.

So if you have friends that would let you practice teaching them, it is a great idea to develop your confidence teaching these exercises.

Having never done Chi Gung or anything similar before I wasn't sure how I would pick it up.
I need not have been concerned the modules are easy to follow with both written and video tuition on how to perform the Equestrian Chi Gung Exercises. It's a full step by step guide of what to do!
The horses really look forward to the break within the lesson to practice and I've witnessed for myself with several horses how calm, relaxed and generally happier they seem.
I am so pleased I decided to do the course and am thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this course. It most certainly has a place in the equine world!
Jenny has been amazing and has been available for any questions I have, and has given me very thorough and positive feedback in my video analysis.
I’m now teaching my own clients and they've found it easy to follow too. Both they and I are very much enjoying the practice and I have noticed a big difference in my clients confidence and positivity when riding!

- I am so pleased with my Equestrian Instructor's course. I was expecting a lot and Jenny Pim's course has went well past my expectations. I love the small "chunks" of information in the lessons.
- I am easily able to study at home, make minor notes on my phone and then practice at the ranch. Watching the different moves in several different formats is really helpful.
- I was particularly impressed with Jenny's critiques of my videos. What a clever and constructive way to teach from a distance. She is able to make suggestions and give support right on my video.
- I enjoy the fact that I can go back and look at the videos whenever I want a refresher.
- I have already started teaching my friends for practice and it has been so exciting to see how their horses resonate with the Chi Gung. Just today my friend asked me again if she could have a lesson. We both noticed her horse steady his breathing, lower is head and lick and chew while she enjoyed the energy flow of Equestrian Chi Gung.
- Truly an excellent course.

I love the Equestrian Chi Gung exercises!
They are so easy to learn and so calming to rider and horse. When I ran my pilot program for breast cancer survivors, we incorporated some Equestrian Chi Gung exercises.
These were easy for the girls to learn, so there was no stressing out about not being able to do them correctly.
They seem very simple, but the results are amazing!
Often when my friends and I are riding around my property, we will stop at various places along the trail and do some of the Equestrian Chi Gung exercises. It helps the horses remain focused and calm as we ride!
