Introducing
Tao Riding

For riders who want to deepen their connection with their horse through developing their energy and to ride as One United Energy with their horse in harmony with the flows of The Universe.
Would you like to develop a deeper and more supportive connection with your horse riding, one that recognises him as an energetic being that is capable of connecting with you?
Do you feel that you haven’t reached the connection you sense is possible between you yet? Somehow there’s something missing.
You can learn to develop your energy and access parts of yourself that you may not have experienced yet, and go deep inside your body and make a real connection with your horse on horseback and riding, one that lasts, because it is formed in an energy that lasts and you will both be able to enjoy and benefit from this, you and your horse .
I can help you do this, through the medium of Taoist practices specifically designed for horseback and riding.
A little bit about me …

My name is Jenny Pim, I specialise in is training people how to refine and develop their internal energy for the benefit of themselves and their horses using Equestrian Tai Chi, and other Taoist methods adapted and developed to help us and our horses.
All of this began by chance, many years ago. I had a busy life, bringing up my family, breeding ponies and teaching Tai Chi, so to save time, I’d often prepare for my evening Tai Chi classes when I was riding.
I began to notice that the ponies I practiced on were enjoying our practice and would lower their heads and relax. I noticed the ponies became more relaxed and connected to me, they wanted to be with me more. So I developed Equestrian Tai Chi, so it could become something that other people and their horses could benefit from as well.
In the beginning it was just Equestrian Tai Chi, which is practiced while the horse is standing still, so they can relax and absorb and benefit from the practice. Then I developed Taoist Breathing for Riding.
Then as my own energy developed more, I added other things, feeling chi flow riding, communicating with our horse through our energy riding and letting go of blockages riding and then uniting with the energy of the horse and feeling the energy of the horse beneath us riding, and then riding as one united energy with our horse in harmony with the flows of the Universe.
All of the time I was aware how my ponies were aware of this, and this led me to believe that if we develop ourselves energetically, we can have a much more expansive relationship with our horse that recognises the horse for the wonderful energetic and spiritual being that he or she is.
I believe that It is us who need to develop ourselves to come up to the horses level.
I am just an ordinary person, an ordinary rider, there are many other more expert people than me who you could learn from, but for riders who might be interested in what I have to share, I created this program for them.

Horses love to connect, they're herd animals and hate being alone.
Having more connection is something that riders want with their horses, but there are several ways that connection is blocked between us or not reached at the level that we sense it can be. Here's some reasons why:-
We're unaware of how much we affect our horse with our feelings.
Horses are very good at sensing the energy of our emotions. Taoists believe that animals can even sense the difference between fleeting emotions that change according to our circumstances and emotions that have become more ingrained in us.
Horses can sense our energy when it is blocked and when it flows again.
We have not developed our own energy, and do not realise yet that we could be having a more subtle energetic connection with them riding.
If we have physical and energetic imbalances in our body, our horse can sense these, they affect our horse as well as us and they stop our energy from flowing in harmony with our horse when we ride.
Tao Riding is a system, derived from Taoist practices, that focuses on finding unity through energy and movement with our horse and letting go of the energy that is blocked and keeps us separate.
Here's some of the things you'll learn in the training overall:-
1. Equestrian Tai Chi
Equestrian Tai Chi - this is a practice that is as much for our horse as it is for us. It relaxes us and our horse together, calming both of our nervous systems and developing the energy pathways of our body, opening up the energetic lines of communication between us.
As well as learning the physical movements, we learn about the different energies in Tai Chi and how they are associated with the different parts of the movements. In time we develop the ability to generate these energies with our mind's intent, without movement.
2. Awakening your energy body through your alignments.
These are the alignments that will allow you to feel chi flow riding and for yours and your horse's energy to unite.
3. You'll learn to find and let go of energetic blockages in your body.
Taoists believe that we have thousands of energy blockages.
They believe that unless we can let go of these we will never become enlightened. They also believe that enlightenment is not something that is for everyone even with letting go of all the blockages.
Blockages form every day in our system and it is a life long task to clear and keep clearing them.
You'll learn different methods of letting go of blockages both on the ground and riding.
Our horses can sense when our energy is blocked and can also sense when it becomes unblocked.
If our energy is blocked it inhibits our chi flow riding prevents us from riding in energetic harmony and it affects us both.
4. You'll learn to find Balance in your Body that will make you feel more secure and connected to yourself on this Earth.
Many of us are imbalanced in our bodies, even from birth and we have never really stood feeling secure and connected to the Earth. You'll learn to find more balance in your body and gently let go of imbalance blockages.
Perhaps you've always felt fine riding on one rein, yet on the other you feel unstable and insecure. Or one leg feels strong and the other feels weaker and you don't have as much control of it.
Most of us have imbalances in our bodies and are also stronger on one side than the other.
Finding our imbalances is liberating.
5. You'll learn to feel Chi Flow Riding.
You'll learn different ways that chi flows through our body riding, through specialised energy exercises developed for horseback and riding.
You'll learn how the horses movement creates a flow of energy in you, that your horse can tune into and sense as well. This shared awareness creates an internal connection between you.
6. You'll learn to communicate with your horse through your energy riding.
As you learn to awaken and develop your internal energy, you'll learn to give subtle from deep inside you that your horse can tune into and understand.
7. You'll learn to feel the Energy of the Movement of the horse.
You'll learn to feel the energy of the movement of the horse beneath you riding.
We're used to feeling inside our bodies, but not so much sensing outside our bodies, it is possible for us to feel the flow of the energy of the horse beneath us riding.
8. You'll learn to ride as one united energy with your horse.
You'll learn how you can develop your energy and how you can ride as one united energy with your horse riding.
9. You'll learn to ride as one united energy with your horse in harmony with the flows of the Universe.
As you ride as one united energy with your horse, you'll also learn to feel how the creative pulse of the universe unites you and connects you both together.
All of these things together create a connection between us that lasts beyond time and space.

This is what people are saying ...

Through practising Equestrian Tai Chi I have really enjoyed beginning to feel energy flowing in my body as I’m riding.
To begin with I practised some of the movements from the Tai Chi Form, first whilst standing, and then whilst seated on my horse ...with my friend standing at his head to ensure he kept fairly still.....He seemed to become very calm and relaxed in fact!More recently I’ve been following the exercises to feel energy moving in my legs and in my arms.
It’s really amazing to begin to realise how many ways energy is moving within our body and to begin to get a sense of how the horses movements link our energies together. It’s a lovely calming experience.Still lots more to learn, which I’m looking forward to!

He couldn't wait to stop for practice...
Hughy is not nearly as spooky in the arena any more. He will look with ears perked but he is not afraid to go anywhere in there. We did some more riding and then we practiced the Equestrian tai chi form again. He couldn’t wait to stop for the practice. I felt peaceful and also like my form is getting smoother. We're having lots of fun and I'm thrilled with the course and also the fact that it gets me doing more with my ponies during the winter.

I remember thinking that only mystics and sages would be able to feel the energy moving through their bones...
So fun! The biggest difference I can see, is that I can feel the energy moving along its full path much better now. So great to be able to feel it move through its full path. Also, I remember thinking that only mystics and sages would be able to feel the energy moving through their bones, but you really can feel the difference between the channels! I find it remarkable that we “regular folk” can feel that! So cool!

Funny I always thought it was due to the weight change that guides the horse round – but this has again given me a new insight!!
Today I had a brilliant session on Bronte, using everything that we have been doing. I started with some reins moving round the arena in all directions & practising slowing down too. By the end I had a go with no reins & no leg aids as such – totally in control & what I found really amazing was Bronte came in on a smaller circle(with her head bent to the inside) – it really felt so connected even without reins.
I have always done this exercise but the horse would have the head often pointing out so really fantastic that this can make such a difference!!

Giving directional aids through tuning into your energy syncs with the horse so beautifully...
I've been participating in the weekly challenges which vary week by week with new fun challenges. Giving directional aids through tuning into your energy syncs with the horse so beautifully and allows us to focus without effort giving very small subtle aids just by being aware, it has helped enormously with symmetry issues for both horse and rider. The connection you feel with your horse when you practice is amazing, I look forward every Week to my practice to further improve my riding and deepen the connection with the horses I ride and care for.

I love this program. The course is very well organized and guides you step–by–step through the Form. The content is broken down into bite-size pieces which makes it easier to learn without getting overwhelmed. I found I was able to learn section by section which helped me embody the practice. It also makes it very easy to review if you have forgotten or have gotten a bit stuck in the process.
The course is an informative blend of theory, philosophy, and practical application.
The real bonus is the supportive coaching calls offered by Jenny. This is where her deep knowledge blends with her passion for teaching, and her supportive coaching style. I always feel uplifted and highly motivated after.
The lessons I have learned from Jenny about Equestrian Tai Chi and the energy fields of myself and horses have forever changed how I interact with them whether in the saddle or on the ground. My horse and I are truly grateful for the experience.

I hope that by now, you have a good understanding about Tao Riding, and what it could mean for you and your horse, if you were to learn the material in it.
Through learning Equestrian Tai Chi, you will balance your horse's energy and your energy and deepen your partnership together. Your horse will become more confident with you and feel more connected to you.
Your energy will become very smooth and very easy for your horse to be near and your horse will naturally be drawn more to wanting to connect with you.
Through letting go of blockages, your energy will flow more easily and you'll become to feel how they become activated in certain situations and let them go.
You'll also be able to affect your horse positively with this.
Through learning the alignments, you will come to open and develop your energy and to realise how you're connected inside.
All of this leads to communicating and connecting with your horse at deeper and subtle levels, making the connection between you and your horse more satisfying for both of you.
Through learning the exercises to develop your energy, your energy body will begin to awaken, you'll begin to feel chi flow, to feel the energy of the horse underneath you and how the horses movement affects the flow of energy in your body.
As your awareness deepens, your horse becomes aware of you being aware and a deeper more subtle connection forms between you.
As you ride as one united energy with your horse, you'll also learn to feel how the creative pulse of the universe unites you and connects you both together.
In my experience, this forms a connection that lasts beyond time and space.
