Equestrian Tai Chi® is Tai Chi that I developed for performance on horseback.
Equestrian Tai Ch has many benefits for riding. Equestrianism and Tai Chi share many of the same principles, there’s even a horse stance in Tai Chi!
One of the most significant things about Equestrian Tai Chi is that the horses respond so positively to it.
Horses are highly sensitive energetic beings, and from the way they respond when the rider practices Equestrian Tai Chi, they show us that they may be even more aware of our energy than we are of it ourselves!
When we practice Equestrian Tai Chi, the movements balance our energy through its different layers bringing them together in harmony so we feel more coherent inside.
When our energy is like this, it’s calming and relaxing and supportive for the horse. It makes us a very easy rider for our horse to be with, because horses are affected by how we are inside.
Our Equestrian Tai Chi practice directly affects our horse and helps our horse to be calmer and more relaxed and less reactive.
We can both draw on the companionship of being connected in harmony together.
As well as and along with Equestrian Tai Chi, riders learn and practice other specialised energy exercises to help awaken and develop their internal energy.
Riders also learn to connect and communicate with their horse through their energy as they’re riding in a way that the horse can follow and understand.
Riding like this, giving energetic aids to the horse, makes our partnership more connected, as we’re communicating with our horse in a way that is natural for him, through energy.
This training is for Non-Professional Equestrians, meaning non-riding instructors or people who offer equine services of any kind!
