I think most riders want to feel harmony and connection with their horse when they ride.
This can be one of the things that draws them to wanting to learn about their Chi or energy, because they believe in some way that it will give an added dimension to their connection with their horse.
Sometimes riders may feel that there’s something more to their partnership with their horse, that they’re not quite getting. There’s some sense of separation that they can’t quite put their finger on, and this makes them feel their partnership is lacking something, but they’re not quite sure what it is.
Horses are highly sensitive energetic beings. They’re masters at reading energy. We affect them by how we are inside, if our energy is scattered and frantic, we’ll make them feel uneasy, but if our energy is balanced and smooth they’ll tend to feel calm.
They can be even more aware of our energy than we are of it ourselves!
Horses can perceive us on different layers of our energy.
Most people know about physical energy, emotional and mental energy, and spiritual. But few people talk about Chi energy. It is generally missed out in Western culture.
Horses can perceive and connect on the Chi level of energy which is a more subtle energy than physical energy.
The sense of separation that we feel from our horse may be because we’re not able to connect with our horse internally at the level of Chi energy, that he is able to connect with us on, and this is causing an imbalance in our partnership and a feeling that there’s something lacking.
We are not fully experiencing a connection with them because there is a whole aspect of our energy that we are not able to connect with them on – we are not connecting with them in the subtle way that they could understand us – that is through our energy.
This is such a shame for horses I think, as they are not seen for how highly developed they are and the reason is that we are not as naturally developed as they are in sensing energy, so we’re not able to appreciate this natural ability in them.
What I love to do is to train riders to open and develop and awaken their energy so they can operate from and connect from a deeper place inside themselves that the horse is not separate from.
This is done in a safe and gradual way, and is based on my training in Taoist Methods, some of the elements of which are thousand of years old and are mentioned in the Taodejing.
It is not a hybrid or a conglomerate of different things, that has no solid basis. Everything can be explained and followed in Taoist Methods that have stood the test of time.
Chi Connected Riding reduces the separation between the horse and rider and gives the horse a chance to shine and to be appreciated for his talent and ability in understanding us.
We can use less physical aids and more energetic and or a combination of both. We are connected from a deeper level inside us that the horse can tune into.
We judge our horses for many things, but do we ever see them for how clever they are energetically. This is something that can be felt not seen, and horses are masters at feeling energy. Doesn’t it make sense to connect with them in a way that is easy for them?
Bit by bit as the riders energy begins to open and develop, the horse begins to respond and to light up and to become happier and more enthusiastic about riding because we are now becoming a more equal interesting partner for them. Horses love to show us how quick and subtle they are understanding us.
If you find this interesting and you think it is something you would like practice with your horse, I’d like to invite you to join us for a month’s training to see if it suits you. If you click below and enter your details, you’ll be sent the information about how you can join us!
If you’re interested in this training, you don’t need any previous experience in energetic practices, but you do need to be able to ride and to have a horse to practice on and be willing to train about 3 or 4 times a week for about 20 minutes, as this is the way that your Chi will evolve!
It takes a while to learn and develop your energy through the stages, but it progresses steadily over about a year, so the joining the mini-training for a month is a good way to see if this suits you. You will receive feedback and support with your practice in the Forum.
